Rozina Spinnoy is Scottish/Asian based in Brussels. Holding an Honours BSc in Interior Design/Architecture from Glasgow Caledonian University and TEI Heraklion, Crete. An experienced professional with a career spanning approximately 25 years. Ranging from finance to working in the global corporate Hospitality sector covering EMEA in various roles.
The last decade launching organizations and working as a Design Strategist and Social Entrepreneur with a focus on designing inclusive communities. Founder of Design2Style (SME), Belgium Design Council and Director and Co-Partner of NGO of BIDs Belgium based in Brussels. Working internationally on Inclusion and Social Design, Urban Place-making, Community projects.
Rozina is an Academician for the Academy of Urbanism in the UK. An Advisory Board Member of the Flemish Community Commission (Vlaamse Gemeenschap Commissie) for Diversity, Inclusion & Community, Brussels. Advisory Committee Member for European Affairs, Municipality of Koekelberg, Brussels. Community Partner of the European Commission's New European Bauhaus initiative with her NGO BIDs Belgium.
Founder of an Inclusive Education program, working with schools for intellectual disabilities and Main-Stream Education schools with ‘Analogue to Digital’, funded by the (former) State Secretary of Brussels Region. Founder of the 'Empowering Women and Public Space' BIDs Belgium project. Consortium partner of the 'Place-City' JPI Urban Europe funded project. Belgian Lead for Placemaking Europe Network. Co-Founder of Women 100 (W100) and inclusive gender project focusing on connecting women from varying cultural/socio-economic backgrounds with the City, funded by the King Baudouin Foundation, Brussels Region and Brussels City. Co-Founder of Project Global Impact accelerator, developing projects on providing mobile pandemic testing units in remote communities.
Former roles include a Youth Board member for inclusion, diversity and youth strategy for a diverse multicultural sports club in Brussels and former Co-Founder of Belgian Tech (BeTech), endorsed by the King Baudouin Foundation, connecting the Technology ecosystem.
Varying project contributions as an ‘Expert’ for the British Council for Kayseri University on Culture & Creativity; 'Expert' panel for EU Development Days with Friends of Europe for Refugee Integrations though Inclusion: a whole of society approach to fighting cultural divisions; ‘Expert’ on Digital Inclusion Education session for Bolzano University; visiting ‘Professor’ for Faculty of Design, Ljubljana (H2020 funded project), designing strategies on connecting communities, design and commerce for Ljubljana Investment Trade & Commerce; Facilitator and Expert for Dundee University on behalf of Academy of Urbanism. Contributing Expert (one session) of the Urban Maestro, urban design governance project in Valencia. Contributions to panel discussions for Google Belgium on Digital Citizenship, Facebook for Women in Entrepreneurship, American Embassy Brussels for Womenpreneurship, amongst others.
More recently a Jury Member for the New European Bauhaus Awards and a Jury Member for the SIT Furniture Design Awards 2021. Rozina champions a variety of causes, projects and philanthropic activities, ranging from gender equality, urban place-making, inclusion and diversity through to advocating for more mental health awareness, inclusive communities and co-design in her wide range of diverse projects.

With City Space Architecture Rozina organized the event 'Empowering Women and Climate Change' at the Innovate4City conference, co-organized by UN-Habitat and the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM), on 15th October 2021.
